The realistic Paintings of Solin And Vranjic

During his intensive socialising with Rev. Frane Bulić, and perhaps under his influence, Vidović briefly dedicated himself to the painting of distinctively realistic landscapes of Solin and Vranjic. The series begins with Houses at Tusculum dating from 1897, continues with The Fall of Solin and finishes with three versions of Vranjic dating from 1898 and 1899.
