The concept behind the permanent collection of The Emanuel Vidović gallery

The Gallery is dedicated to the person and works of one of Croatia’s most significant artists from the end of the 19th to the first half of the 20th century – Emanuel Vidović. It is intended as a place for the collection, processing, studying, protection and presentation of the painter’s material and spiritual legacy.

Its current and potential holdings include art works which outline Vidović’s development as a painter from the beginning to the end of his creative life as well as museum material which contributes to the completion of Vidović’s biography and monitors the presentation and reception of his works.
